Nowadays, there are not enough hours in the day to for everyone which means networking is even more important.
This is especially important for up and coming writers who should be making connections with various folks in their field.
The thing is this nothing new and has been talked about at great lengths by people who have way more experience than yours truly.
While it is great to here folks in the field preach this, it is another thing to see it play out.The kiddo had a chance to see this in action last weekend at the Motor City Comic Con.
While we wandered the artist alley, we bumped into several folks we have meet before. We had a chance to catch up while picking up some great comics and tips.
Sure the chance anything will ever come of this is far and few in between, but stranger things have happen. So next time you have the chance to rub elbows with anyone who has the slightest touch in our field, make sure not to miss it.
In the end, it does not matter how you make those connections, just as long as you do. It will make it easier for you.
Do you have any preferred ways to make those important connections?
